What to Bring to Your First Appointment
Prior to your first appointment, please download and complete the new patient forms. This will save time on the day of your visit. If you are unable to complete the paperwork before your appointment, please arrive 15 minutes early, so you have time to finish it in the office.
Please bring any records from your former dental office as well as your current insurance information/card.
We offer direct billing to insurance plans for ease of payment of our patients. We accept non-insured health benefits such as the Ministry of Social Services for individuals on disability and income assistance, and First Canadian Health for First Nation individuals. Please contact us to verify your coverage. If you need assistance with payment options for financing, please call our office. Payment is expected the day services are rendered. We accept Interac, cash, MasterCard, and Visa.

Experiencing acute dental trauma or pain?
We allocate dedicated emergency care buffer windows each day. Call right away for priority triage and same-day relief.
Knocked-Out Permanent Tooth
Handle tooth only by the crown (top), never touch the root. Rinse gently with saline or milk. Place back in socket if possible, or store in whole milk and arrive within 60 minutes.
Severe Toothache / Swelling
Rinse with warm salt water. Gently floss to dislodge trapped debris. Do NOT place aspirin directly against gums as it causes burns. Apply cold compress externally.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about becoming a patient at Anchor Dental Centre.
Do you directly bill insurance companies?
Yes, for most commonplace insurance plans, we directly bill for payment. Any amount not payable by your insurance is payable by you on the date of service.
Do you accept dental insurance through the Ministry of Social Services (for individuals on disability and/or income assistance)?
Yes. For adults with this coverage, we charge a $40 fee per visit for most basic treatments. For children, the basic treatment fee is $20 until the age of 16, then $40 for 16 and over. For complicated extractions, endodontic treatment, and filling work beyond two teeth, the difference in cost is billed to the patient and payable on the date of service.
Do you offer major treatment services; such as implants, bridges, crowns, and veneers?
Yes, we do. Unless the circumstances are exceptionally complicated, in which case a referral to a specialist would be required.
What does a first visit to your dental office typically entail?
Our standard new patient visit consists of a complete examination of all teeth, radiographs of teeth and jaw, charting of all existing conditions, and recommended treatment. Hygiene includes periodontal charting, dental scaling and/or root planing, tooth polishing, and fluoride remineralization.
How often should I schedule a dental cleaning?
We recommend patients visit us for a dental cleaning every six months, or as advised by Dr. Henn or Dr. Andrews. Regular cleanings help maintain optimal oral health and prevent potential issues.
How do I handle a dental emergency?
